Two good games yesterday in the WNBA – that early kickoff was annoying though. Not that I don’t mind watching sports during the day but the betting lines were so late getting up that was annoying.
Hopefully you got on the Dream at below the 7.5 line that was at a few sportsbooks. It seemed to range from 5.5 to 7.5 and the Dream won 77-70.
It was a tight game as they had to come from behind and at no point did they have a massively dominant quarter. Instead the Atlanta Dream just had 3 solid quarters to prove they were the better team.
That puts the Stars at 0-6 for the season.
In the other game it was a great battle between the Sun and Mystics. Delle Donne helped out in a big way for the Mystics and that helped them get that 78-76 win over the Sun. The teams practically couldn’t be separated throughout the game.
We have just the one game today as the Phoenix Mercury take on the Chicago Sky.
The system recommends Mercury -6.
The Mercury will hope to rely on Brittany Griner who has already racked up an average of 20.2 points this season per game. Granted a lot of that is tainted from the 32 points she got early in the season and she had a bit of a quiet game against Dallas last time out.
The big story of course is the veteran Diana Taurasi who is chasing a WNBA record. Well, ANOTHER WNBA Record. If she gets one 3-pointer in this game she will become the WNBA all-time 3 point leader which is impressive and you’d have to think she’ll get it here.
The Sky still seem to be struggling to really sort out their team. I said it earlier in the season but I do believe when they figure it out they will be a force to be reckoned with.
Unfortunately for them I don’t think that will be tonight and I agree with the system.
Mercury -6 is the play in tonights game.
