WNBA News for November 5, 2007

With a few vacancies in the head coach roles of various WNBA teams, there are bound to be many applicants.  One of the applicants may be a but surprising however, as Dennis Rodman is interested in becoming a coach. We’ll have more on this story as it progresses.

Clay Bennett, owner of the Seattle Supersonics and Seattle Storm, has told the NBA now of his intentions to move the Sonics franchise to Oklahoma City.  However the Seattle Storm may remain in Seattle.

Connecticut Sun were given bad news, as Australian guard Erin Phillips said she will not be playing in the 2008 season.  She missed the 2007 season due to a knee injury, had made her intentions to come back for the ‘08 season, but is planning to stay in Australia and fight for a spot in the Australia National Team.
