WNBA News for November 2, 2007
2006 WNBA MVP Lisa Leslie has made a return to the court after taking a year off for the birth of her daughter. Leslie returned to play for the US National team in an eight-game college tour, beginning with a game against Maryland. Leslie played for the Los Angeles Sparks, joining them in the WNBAs first season, 1997.
Since joining up with the WNBA, Leslie was the first person to reach 3,000 points. She has won numerous MVP awards, led the WNBA rebounds in 1997 and 1998….although she is more well known for being the first player to dunk in a WNBA game. We wish Leslie well with her comeback into the game.
